Since the inception of the Nepali American Community Center, Dr. Uprety has been at the helm, steering its growth and development. His pivotal role in project conceptualization, financing, and execution culminated in the establishment of an $8 million community center in Washington DC, serving as a cornerstone for the Nepali diaspora.

Dr. Uprety's philanthropic contributions over the past decade have been nothing short of transformative. As President of Mission Rebuild Nepal, he orchestrated the construction of 850 homes for earthquake victims, providing much-needed shelter and stability to affected communities. Amidst the COVID-19 crisis, his swift action and leadership facilitated the delivery of USD 1.2 million worth of oxygen plants to 10 hospitals across Nepal, addressing critical shortages and saving lives. Dr. Uprety's unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes underscores the profound impact that individual action can have in alleviating suffering and fostering resilience in times of adversity.

Dr. Uprety's entrepreneurial prowess is evident through his diverse portfolio of ventures. As the Founder and President of Tesla Hydro USA, Inc., he is at the forefront of innovation in hydroelectric power generation. Additionally, his role as Chairperson of Everest Federal Credit Union, New York, reflects his commitment to financial inclusion and community empowerment. Dr. Uprety's expertise extends to the healthcare sector, where he serves as a Partner and Medical Director of Greenbrook TMS Neurohealth, USA, pioneering advancements in mental health treatment. In real estate, he has made significant investments, including as an investor in Valley View Village, spearheading the development of $120 million multi-story apartment complexes in Harrisonburg, VA, and as a developer with Gorkha Homes, LLC, contributing to real estate development in Washington DC. Furthermore, his leadership as Founder and CEO of My Psychiatrist showcases his dedication to providing essential mental health services, establishing one of the largest practices in the DC metro area. As a medical doctor, Dr.  Uprety has served as a Chief resident, Medical Directors, assistant Professor and other leadership position in various private and public health institutions in the USA.

Dr.  Uprety has authored many books, research papers and presented in international forum. He has received several awards for his work in the medical field.

Dr. Uprety's current focus as the Executive Chairperson of Peace Energy Company highlights his dedication to sustainable energy solutions and infrastructure development. In this pivotal role, he leads the planning, development, management, and control of the ambitious 28.10 MW Upper Kabeli Hydro Power Project. Through his strategic vision and executive expertise, Dr. Uprety is driving forward this renewable energy initiative, poised to make a significant impact on local communities and the broader region. His leadership underscores a commitment to environmental stewardship and the advancement of clean energy technologies, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient future.

Dr. Adhikari was born, raised, and received his high school in Arghakhanchi district. He started his higher education in Tansen, Palpa and received master’s degree in chemistry from Tribhuvan University in 2005. Then, he joined the University of Nevada in 2006 and completed his doctorate in chemistry in 2012. He has been working as an educator since then. He worked as a Lecturer at the University of Nevada-Reno until 2014 and currently working as a Professor of Chemistry at Rappahannock Community College, Virginia.
Apart from this, he has also been involved in many social, professional, and community organizations. Few of them are American Chemical Society, Graduate Students Association, Nepalese Chemists Abroad, Faculty Senate, Fredericksburg-Kathmandu Sister City, etc.
He has a strong interest in science, technology, higher education, and professional networking among many others. He enjoys travelling, watching sports, and talking to friends in his spare time.

Pragyan is a space industry professional. After earning his undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kathmandu University, he embarked on a fulfilling five-year project in Nepal, aimed to establish a satellite-based telecommunications system, bringing connectivity to remote and isolated villages across the country. For Pragyan, this experience of visiting these villages and facilitating their connection to the wider world stands as one of his greatest achievements.
He came  to the United States in 2009 and completed his Master's degree in Telecommunications from George Mason University, and has since built a successful career in the space industry. Since 2009, he has called Northern Virginia home with his wife and two children.
 

Mr. Toya Poudyal was born at Gauradaha Municipality of Jhapa District, Nepal. He completed
high school at Janata Secondary School at Gauradhaha, Jhapa and completed his master’s degree
in Business Management from The Tribhuvan University of Nepal. He came to the United States
of America with his wife Kamala Poudyal and two sons in 2005. He stayed in the State of
Kansas from 2005- 2012 and moved to Virginia in 2012. His older son is studying Computer
Science at Virginia Tech, and his younger son is in 12th grade at Herndon High School. He has
been working as an IT specialist for the Department of Homeland Security. In addition to that, he
has been involved with the Model Nepali Society, USA (MoNSU), Nepali school operated by
MoNSU at Herndon, International Jhapali Samaj, Jhapali Samaj USA, NACC, and many other
social organizations. He enjoys spending time with the family, reading, and social activities.
